The Tamil hit 7G Rainbow Colony is being remade in Kannada as Gilli. Director Raghava Loki, maker of the hit Satya in Love featuring Shivrajkumar and Genelia, is the director.
The highlight of this film is that actor Jaggesh’s son Gururaj is making his debut as hero. Gururaj was in Kishore Namit Kapoor’s acting institute in Mumbai to get trained in every aspect of acting. The first schedule of shooting has been completed and the second has just begun.
7G Rainbow Colony was written and directed by Selvaraghavan; it featured the lovely Sonia Agarwal and Ravi Krishna in the lead. Yuvanshankar Raja (who created the music for the original film) and cinematographer Krishna have been retained for the Kannada version. Sudha Belavadi, Shrinivas and Veena Venkatesh are also in the cast.
