Producer Mohan’s confidence in Budhdhivantha is paying off. The film, which released on Friday, is recording good collections. The crew had arranged for a mammoth procession just before the first show in order to promote the film. The march, in which nearly 5000 fans participated, started from National College Ground and ended at Narthaki theatre. Upendra led the march with other crew members.
For the opening show, Narthaki theatre was bedecked with flowers and a new entrance was erected. As soon as the audience passed the security check, they were offered a visual treat of digital flower-based presentations. And all this is only an introduction for the big show inside the theatre.
Speaking to the media, Mohan said that in Hubli, the tickets were sold out a day before the release. Also, police had to resort to lathi charge to control the crowd in Mysore. In Gulbarga, an additional theatre was constructed to meet the demand and in Bellary, such a huge crowd was never heard of. Upendra praised Mohan, saying that as a producer, he has no inhibitions and that he should stay long in the film industry.
Budhdhivantha features Upendra in five different get ups and he has five heroines.
