South India's largest circulating English cinema magazine Galatta Cinema and its online wing Galatta.com will be the media partners of FICCI FRAMES' upcoming Media and Entertainment Business Conclave (MEBC), one of the most prestigious conventions on the business of entertainment in Asia, to be held on November 18 and 19 in Chennai.

Galatta Cinema had earlier been the media partners of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival's "India Pavilion 2009" held in association with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).

The main highlight of MEBC will be a forum for foreign delegates to share their knowledge and information on the global industry trends with their Indian counterparts. The convention will also offer delegates a chance to network with the media and entertainment fraternity of South India and Bollywood, exposing them to global and Indian developments with regard to trends and opportunities, business possibilities and regulatory regimes practised in different countries.

The entire gamut of the entertainment industry – films, television, music, animation, gaming and technology (such as broadband and convergence) would be covered at the conclave. In the concluding sessions, the organizers will release the FICCI report on southern entertainment industry for the first time.
