Golla has been renamed Kempa after minor protests against the name Golla by Yadava organisations in several parts of the state. The name change was officially declared during the audio release function of the film. Kempa is produced by Anekal Balaraj and directed by Jagadish. Apart from the producer and director, the technicians and artists of the film also were present at the function.
The audio album and cassettes of the film were released by the new President of K.F.C.C, Dr. Jayamala. Actor-producer Dwarakish and the Treasurer of KFCC, Sa.Ra. Govindoo were also present.
Music director Guru Kiran said all the five songs in the film are well-shot. He also praised director Jagadish for showing a lot enthusiasm when the songs were being composed.
