After the forgettable Preethi Eke Bhoomi Melidhe, Ashwini Ram Prasad of the Ashwini Group is returning to film production with Jothegaara, featuring Nenapirali Prem and Ramya, the hit pair of Jothe Jothayalli. The launch will be held on August 21.
Ashwini Group had earlier produced the hit film Jogi but their second attempt, Preethi Eke Bhoomi Melidhe, was a complete washout at the box office. Following this, the group decided to concentrate on their core business of audio marketing and obtained the rights for films like Gaja and Gaalipata which were huge hits. Now, their latest film Jothegaara will be directed by debutant director Shikamani, who has worked as assistant director for more than 15 Tamil films. Music director Sudeep Shetty is being introduced through the film and Raghav is the man behind the camera.
Ashwini Ram Prasad, in an interview, said that he liked the subject and narration of Shikamani. He mentioned that since he has learnt his lessons from the past, this time he will start the film only after getting a fully bound script. He will announce the artists and technicians associated with film only at the launch. He also said that in future, he will be activating the production and distribution segments of Ashwini Group.
