Kuselan, the Tamil remake of Malayalam movie Katha Parayumbol starring Mammootty and Sreenivasan in the lead roles, is all set to be remade in Kannada. The latest buzz says that the makers of Kuselan have approached Golden Star Ganesh to play Mammootty/ Rajni’s role.
Kuselan is about two childhood friends and how one goes on to become a star, while the other becomes a barber. The climax is about how the two meet years later, when the star visits the home of his humble friend. Kannada’s popular comedian Komal is being considered for the role of the barber.
Director Ramesh has confirmed the news and said he was approached by the Kuselan producers to remake the film in Kannada. A lot of details remain to be finalized. The film will be produced by Seven Arts, who have also produced Kuselan, the Tamil version starring Rajinikanth, which is readying for release in July.
