Producer Srinivas, a real estate baron, is fulfilling his dream on Friday, October 10th. It is the day of the release of his first film Mandakini. Interestingly, even before the release of the movie, Srinivas has made up his mind that he does not intend to make another film, at least not in the near future.
Rashmi of Dhuniya fame plays the title role in this female-oriented plot. Director Ramesh Surve says that Mandakini is a family story but also has elements of suspense in the end and can also be included in the genre of thrillers.
The producer has included a big 12 minute song which has been shot lavishly in different magnificent locations, making it a major highlight of the film. Others in the cast include Chethan, Jayanthi and Sudharani.
