Minchina Ota, directed by A.M.R. Ramesh of Cyanide fame, has a climax which is 40 minutes long with nail-biting action sequences. Producer Sa. Ra. Govindoo says he has spent more money on this film than he has ever spent on any earlier film. The climax runs for a major part of the second half of the film.
Another highlight of Minchina Ota is that brothers Vijaya Raghavendra and Sri Murali are acting together for the first time. Lakshmi Rai is the heroine. The film was released in 75 theatres all over Karnataka. The action sequences are reported to be so realistic that Murali’s wife Vidya got tense while watching the scene where he rams his car into a running train in the film.
