N. Omprakash Rao, who has directed more than 20 films in Kannada, is foraying into Tamil and has chosen actor Sarathkumar as the hero of his first film. Sarathkumar,a prominent actor in Tamil, gave the green signal for the project on his birthday, July 14th, when the producers and director came to meet him in Chennai.
The film’s subject is based on the eradication of terrorism in the country; it will be shot in Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Chennai, Bangalore and Madurai. The heroine will be either Anushka Shetty or Sneha. The producers, Shanker Reddy and Shanker Gowda say that this is an expensive film with the budget expected to touch Rs.10 crore.
Director Omprakash is currently directing Putta starring Vijay of Dhuniya fame and Kiran Bedi starring Malashri. Also a known comedy actor, he just completed Thipparahalli Tharlegalu under the direction of S.V. Rajendra Singh.
