The shooting of Gulama is progressing very fast. Produced by Ramu Enterprises, it has Prajwal and newcomer Biyaanka in the lead. Biyaanka, a model from Mumbai, has a degree in Fashion Designing fron Sydney University. “I have designed my own clothes for this film. I wanted to be a fashion designer. But destiny has brought me into modelling and films. Now I am working in two Kannada films,” says Biyaanka.
The film’s director is Ranganath and a major portion has already been shot. Gulama is his debut film and he says that the specialty of the film is its treatment of characterization. He introduces many actors who are drawn from different theatre groups in the state. This is an important film for young hero Prajwal. He is quite happy with the way Ranganath has directed it and is all praise for producer Ramu.
Recently the media were invited to witness the shooting of a song sequence in Mysore Lamps factory picturised on Prajwal and Biyaanka; Chinni Prakash was the choreographer.
