Director S.V. Rajendra Babu has started shooting for his next film Rakthaksha featuring his son Aditya in the lead. It was Babu who introduced Aditya to films through Love a few years ago. Now, in the new film, he is trying to portray Aditya as an action hero.
The launch event was star-studded, yet conducted in simple style. Smt. Parvathamma Rajkumar lighted the lamp marking the beginning of the launch. Darshan, who is also a close friend of Aditya, sounded the clap for the maiden shot; Puneeth Rajkumar switched on the camera. Ambarish, Upendra, Vijay of Dhuniya fame and the entire family of Aditya were present during the occasion.
The story of the action-packed movie revolves around corruption in the Defence department. The film has six songs to be shot in exotic locations. For more authenticity of the story, Rajendra Babu is researching about the Kargil war. He said that he has a 27 page report on the war.
The screenplay is by Selvaraj and the dialogues are by M.S. Ramesh. Mangalore is chosen as the location since the film needs the background of a seaside village.
