Director Lucky Shankar is making a new film titled Jamaana starring newcomers Nitish and Akarsha. Karthik Raja will be scoring the music for the songs of the film penned by Jayanth Kaikini. The movie, produced by Chetan, has already started shooting in and around Mysore.
Karthik Raja, eldest son of music maestro Illayaraja made his debut as a music composer with the Tamil movie Alexander. He has worked with well-known directors and producers including Mani Ratnam, K. Balachandran, etc.
This is not the first time that he is composing music for a Kannada film. He has also composed music for the Kannada film Hoo Anthiya Oohoo Anthiyaa with Ramesh Aravind and Isha Kopikkar in the lead.
